After being awarded a Fulbright Fellowship to study in Amsterdam following my graduation from Harvard, I was ecstatic about the move. But the very first thing I heard—from fellow Fulbrighters, the Netherlands Fulbright Commission, and Dutch friends—was just how difficult it is to find housing in Amsterdam.

I was trying to find a house to rent for over a month - very difficult for my situation as an expat. Had managed to go to some viewings hosted by other large agencies but I never reached to an agreement.
